The Last Crops of Summer

I was so sad to see the last crops of summer fly away from our magical farm. Now we have to wait a whole year for the next harvest! I picked the last corn which was bright, yellow and placed it in my light, brown basket. I was skipping home checking to see if I forgot any corn however I discovered a remarkable flower. It's petal's were red and glistened in the summer's sun. I picked it up gingerly and ran home to my mother to give her, the precious flower.

I like how you skipped home. IT shows the readers that you are in a happy mood even though the crops were gone. It shows that there is always next time.

Lovely warm images of a Summer afternoon.

Don't over-use commas; you don't need them between "bright" and "yellow" or "light" and "brown", nor in the last sentence.
